Use Planegraph's MCP server

Planegraph MCP works on every Planegraph plan. Ad Remix, UGC videos and image and video generation use your plan's credits.

Connect your AI apps to Planegraph with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants use other services' tools. Your assistant can then search real ads, remake them for your brand, make UGC videos and generate images and video in your Planegraph account.

Quick setup

Use the add-mcp CLI to add Planegraph to every coding agent on your computer.

npx -y add-mcp https://mcp.planegraph.com/mcp --name planegraph -g

Claude, Cursor and VS Code also install in one click. For ChatGPT and the other apps, follow the steps in Setup.

What is Planegraph MCP?

Planegraph MCP is Planegraph's official MCP server. It's a remote MCP server with OAuth that gives AI apps access to your Planegraph account, at:

https://mcp.planegraph.com/mcp

It works with AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, so you can:

  • Search about 4,400 real Meta ads by brand, product or category
  • Remake a library ad for your brand with Ad Remix
  • Make UGC videos with realistic AI avatars
  • Generate images and videos with Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2, Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1 Fast and other models
  • Upload product photos and logos from your device

Planegraph MCP implements the MCP Authorization and Streamable HTTP specifications, plus MCP Apps for results inside the chat.

Available tools

The assistant can use 11 tools. The in-chat viewer uses two more to show a job's progress and keep the upload box open.

Results in the chat

Apps that support MCP Apps, such as Claude and ChatGPT, show Planegraph's results inside the conversation:

  • Ad and avatar grids, with buttons to remake an ad or make a video with an avatar
  • A job’s progress, then its images, video or remake
  • An upload box for photos from your device

Other apps show the same results as text and links.

Credits

Planegraph MCP uses the credits on your Planegraph plan.

  • An Ad Remix costs 50 credits.
  • A UGC video costs 200 credits.
  • An image or video costs the model’s price, the same as in the Planegraph app.
  • Browsing the ad library and avatars costs nothing.
  • Planegraph refunds anything that fails, down to a single image in a set.
  • Planegraph asks the assistant to check with you before any image or video that costs more than about 200 credits.

Security best practices

  • Use the official URL. Connect only to https://mcp.planegraph.com/mcp. Check the address before you approve a one-click install from another site.
  • Approve each app. Planegraph shows a consent screen with the app's name before any app can use your account.
  • Watch your credits. A connected app can spend your credits. Keep your app's confirmations on for tools that cost credits.
  • Watch for prompt injection. Text in a web page or another server's results can try to steer the assistant. Review what the assistant asks to run.
  • Disconnect apps you no longer use. Remove Planegraph from the app's connector settings.

Questions

Which Planegraph plan do I need?

Any Planegraph account can connect. Browsing the ad library and avatars costs nothing. Ad Remix, UGC videos and image and video generation use the credits on your plan.

What can the assistant see in my account?

The assistant sees your plan, your credit balance, the jobs it started through the MCP server and the images you upload through it. It can’t open your other projects.

Does it work on my phone?

Claude’s iOS and Android apps use the connectors you add on claude.ai. Claude for iOS shows Planegraph’s results in the chat. ChatGPT supports custom MCP servers on the web only.

How do I disconnect an app?

Remove Planegraph from the app’s connector or MCP settings. To connect again, add the server URL and sign in.
